John Madler (Nick Cassavetes) is an hardworking, unpredictable, starving artist who believes in the liberty of artistic expression, forms a powerful attraction to Allison McKenzie (Brenda Bakke) a well-off girl from Bel Air who is looking for an escape from reality.
